Denver-based Robinson Brick Company announced that the National Standards Authority of Ireland (N.S.A.I.) has granted the company permission to extend the scope of their ISO 9001 "registered firm" status to include Robinson Rock(TM).

Robinson Rock(TM), the company's new natural stone product line, was first announced in March of this year, with nine additional colors released in September.

Registered firm status signifies that all Robinson Brick Company products and services are realized within a system that promotes customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

"When a new product is released, quality assurance processes are already in place, starting as early as the product development phase," explained Mike Doyle, quality manager for Robinson Brick Company. "After product release, these processes must then be documented and proven over a period of time before we can initiate an audit to the standard by a third-party organization. We are pleased that Robinson Rock has been confirmed within the ISO 9001 standard."

Robinson Brick Company first achieved ISO 9001 registration in August of 1998, following an independent audit of the adequacy of the company's quality system, conducted by the National Standards Authority of Ireland.

To include registration status for Robinson Rock(TM) as well as retain it for all other company products and systems, Robinson Brick Company must demonstrate continued quality system improvements and adherence to the standard through periodic surveillance audits. Robinson Rock(TM) is natural stone that is quarried and cut thin at the company's own manufacturing plant in Denver, providing consumers with a wide range of options for building, decorating and remodeling.

Robinson Brick Company has been manufacturing masonry products, including brick, block, Thinbrick(TM), and natural stone products, for over 120 years. In addition to its Denver manufacturing plant, the company also owns and operates Robinson Block Company, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
