| Robinson Brick Launches Thin Veneer Program for AIA Credit |

December 19, 2007 (DENVER, Colo.) – Robinson Brick today announced that architects and design professionals can now earn AIA Continuing Education learning units through an online based, self-serve interactive program available at www.ArchitecturalRecord.com. Robinson Brick’s AIA-certified program titled, “Thin Brick and Thin-Cut Stone Take on Full-Dimension Masonry Products,” explores slimmer profiles in stone and brick masonry and how utilizing these materials can yield cost and logistical advantages. The program delivers important educational information to architects and design professionals about thin veneer masonry products, including the characteristics of thin veneer materials, how to specify appropriate design solutions for thin veneers and recognizing effective installation methods for interior and exterior applications. In order to satisfy their continuing education requirement, AIA members must complete 18 learning units every year, with a minimum of 8 units in the category of Health, Safety and Welfare in which Robinson Brick’s program falls. By offering the online format, professionals are able to complete the course and take the accompanying test on their own schedule. Upon completion of a successful test, the credit is automatically reported to the AIA and the architect can print a certificate to recognize the successful completion of the program. “For years we have delivered educational programs to architects on a local basis – without the benefit of offering them for credit,” said Mark Stutz, VP of Sales and Marketing for Robinson Brick. “Offering the program online and for AIA credit affords us the opportunity to reach architects and design professionals nationally and educate them about the advantages of incorporating thin brick or thin rock veneers into their designs.” Robinson Brick manufactures its own line of thin veneer products including Robinson Rock natural stone veneer and Old Brick Originals thin brick veneer. Both products are lightweight, natural, and suitable for interior and exterior applications. |
